As the NBA trade deadline (Feb 15, 1984) approached, the Chicago Bulls' Reggie Theus offered Chicago Sun-Times' John Schulian, an incredibly-honest and insightful perspective on his troubles w/ Coach Kevin Loughery and GM Rod Thorn.

In mid-December (1983), Loughery sat Theus (completely) out of a game versus Milwaukee, ending Reggie's streak of 429-consecutive games played. Things went downhill from there, before the Bulls finally traded Reggie to the Kansas City Kings in a last-minute trade, just prior to the deadline.
